It’s that season again. Yes, I’m talking about Girl Scout Cookie Season. It’s this time when we feel the need to buy overpriced boxes of cookies, but how can we resist the hard working girls standing out on the sidewalk selling their goodies. These days, you don’t see them out all too much. It’s now become something you pre-order, or something that the parents sell at work. maybe it was always that way? I was never a Girl Scout. I was, however, a Blue Bird, the junior version of a Campfire Girl. We sold actual mints, in various colors and flavors. I remember having to walk door to door, asking strangers to buy them. I remember being shy and nervous every time I rang the doorbell. Later, my soccer team sold chocolate bars to raise money. I didn’t have too much luck selling them outside the grocery store, but hit the jackpot when I decided to set up camp outside the liquor store. In middle and highschool we sold christmas trees. No, we didn’t have to shlep trees door to door, just sell coupons for the trees. I was never successful. Let’s just say, we always had 3 Christmas trees in our house.
Anyway, this all is getting me around to the fact that my husband brought home 2 boxes of Girl Scout cookies. Thin Mints for me and lemon shortbread for himself. They were thoroughly enjoyed, as you can see.

Do you think he could get anymore chocolate on his face?
