An American in London

So, I arrived here in London a few hours ago. I’m here to photograph some bands, photograph some people, photograph a wedding, and have a crazy fun time. So, in the next weeks you should have updates fro a few bands, lots of photographs around London and all the crazy hoopla surrounding the royal wedding. yes, THAT wedding!

I watch my niece play dress up, wearing the adorable princess dresses, and enough bling to humble the best of socialites. She is a princess at heart. But I’m here in London, where a mere commoner is becoming a true real life princess, marrying the future king of England. In a sense, this should give my princess neice hope that she too could become a real princess. These jewels, crown, and carriage aren’t some Disneyworld fairytale make-believe princess. This is the real deal. All of London is a twitter with the wedding. It’s not everyday that the future king of England marries (or at least we can hope not). One of my goals is to find the tackiest souvenir I can. It’s a tough job but someone’s got to do it. I’ll keep you updated on my progress.

As I’m trying to combat jet leg, my cure is to sit in an underground club drinking cheap beer, listening to music. As I wait for the band to take stage, I’m serenaded by Lou Rawls and I’m instantly transported back to high school escapades and my oldest and dearest friends. So a shout out to my girls. Wish you all were here with me right now.

Isn’t it amazing how a song can defy the laws of time and space and instantly teleport you to a moment in history, in your own personal history, within an instant.

Enough waxing about the past and time to get to work.

Be sure to check out the rest of my London adventure featuring music, shopping, and a royal wedding.
