I adore photographing children in their natural state, in their natural habitat. Sort of like a wildlife photographer. haha. While I love to see those perfectly posed, perfectly dressed, perfectly lit portraits, they always leave me without any sense of the child’s personality. Dont get me wrong, there’s a place and time for those types of images, but my own preference is for images that capture more than a perfect child. My work focuses on creating images that capture someone’s true self. With children, this means doing what they do, messy hair, dirty hands and feet (and sometimes faces), where they are not focusing on the camera and giving that oh-so-cheesey-smile. While I create the image, I dont create the moment. I interact with whoever I’m photographing and allow them to react and create their own moment. it allows me to photograph who they are, not just what they look like.

Nichole - fantastic!
Jules Holly - oooooooo i love these and love the black and white
SallyQ - Interesting choice going black and white here, but it really works. Yu do such interesting work and always capture so much personality. These look so real and true to how this girl must really be.
Sweetpea - beautiful and pure
Gemma - <3<3<3<3 simply beautiful
Adele - Sweet loveliness. The light draws me in along with the natural beauty of this girl and the setting. I’d like to do a personal series with a similar sweetness but in a more urban location. Let’s set it up.
Raychel Wade - Completely awesome and brilliantly captured!!!
CaryG - Gorgeous!
Adelaide - I’m in love with these. Honestly in love.
