TV on the Radio, live. They are always a treat, even shows that might not be their best. The are seasoned performers and create great music. The opened the set with Dear Science opener “Halfway Home,” and burned through song after song. it was the careful and emotional attention to tunes from Nine Types of Light, their most recent album and the last one to feature Gerard Smith (bass), who passed of lung cancer days after the release. The highlight of the set, for me, was their cover of Fugazi’s “Waiting Room.” It was perfection.
